I had the Pleasure to have a Live interview with Nikki Pryce founder of IAM community. Although, the enemy tried us with numerous technological issues we managed to PUSH through and get it done. My iphone literally blacked out 3x, the sound wasn't working for us, the drama. *pass out* .
On a serious note we wanted to talk deeply about community and the importance of not doing life alone, Postpartum depression and I am affirmation. Here is the Q&A just in case you missed it or just want to dive in again.
1. Where did your inspiration for fashion/blogging come from?
Fashion has always been my Passion as cliché as that may sound. I feel like growing up in New York living in a melting pot of different cultures I took from that aspect of my life. I truly believe it’s a gift that God has given me. Even when I said I’m not doing fashion anymore some way I end up back in that industry. Blogging as well. I started a blog in 2014-15 name Shinelle nouvelle it was all about fashion. life happened I stopped blogging some how I'm here again. My blog now is named Faith of a Fashion MOM. I believe God wants me to share my gifts and I’m finally being obedient. Faith is talking about my walk as a Christian. Newly baptized on Feb 4th 2018. As I’m pouring out in this section of my blog I’m also pouring into myself. I love how this section challenge me. For quite time with God. To dive into my bible. Before I even write anything I have to pray about it. Fashion I'm re launching my business as an image consultant. This section is giving my readers a glimpse of who I am style wise and what I bring to the table. Also giving great tips about styling for every occassion .This is an industry I have 10 plus years of experience in. Mom I call this my new super power. As a new mom I have to find ways to not only entertain but teach my son. I’m sharing all the good, the bad and beautiful moments. Letting parents know its OK not to be perfect. One of my blog post I spoke about postpartum depression and dealing with that. It’s a situation that doesn’t discriminate.I had all the support from my family. It was more of a letter to doctors to say we need to do more after birth care for moms.
2. Why is it Important to have Godly community?
I know now as a Christian how important this is. I use to be that girl that thought I could figure it all out on my own. In reality I "Yuh need" help. It was the craziest defense mechanism. God quickly humbled me on that. When he snatched everything from me and I needed people. Luckily for me I had a community that I just wasn’t utilizing. Standing on the other side now I see how the enemy wants to isolate us because when we come together as Christians the miracles and blessing we can release will glorify GOD. I’m grateful for that moment because God has shown me that Godly community not only lift you up and give you advice. Godly community will pray for you and with you. There is power in prayer. There is even more power in praying together. The bible clearly tells us how powerful it is when we pray together.
James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Matthew 18:19-20
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
James 5:14-15
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

3. Do I experience Godly community in “I am community?”
The great thing about I am community is the women in the Group are grounded in Christ. We don’t shy away from talking about GOD ,about Jesus, about the bible. It’s a group of women that are empowering and lifting each other up, Like a sisterhood. We all have strengths and weakness. I love the fact that the women in this group are very transparent. I love the incorporation of the bible study and weekly offering.
4. What advice would you give people that want to follow their dreams
This is the same Advice I give myself. Like the Nike ad says, Just do it. Keep your blinders on and stay in your own lane. Your uniqueness is the fact that you are you. No one else can be you. Pray and ask God to Reveal your gifts and allow him to work through you and on you. Don’t be afraid to fail. Failure is your best teacher. Some of my greatest blessing have come after a storm so praise GOD while you are in that storm because at the end you know your testimony is about to be real lit. Seriously, you can’t spell testimony without test. There is a saying I see on social media that God cant bless mess. Let me tell you God love using your mess to create a message.
5. What Affirmations do you use on a daily to encourage yourself that others can use?
My affirmations are things that I speak over myself and my life. Proverbs 18:21 the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. This means always speak positivity over your life words will manifest.
